Diving Services: Don't forget
what you can't see! Bottom growth diminishes speed and uses
extra fuel. Left unchecked, barnacles will invade the gelcoat,
leading to costly fiberglass repairs. Have your boat's underside
inspected and cleaned regularly. One time, monthly, and bi-monthly
scheduling (we do recommend AT LEAST bi-monthly). Our divers
are experienced, fully insured, and of course, guaranteed!
The growth of grass and barnacles can cause:
- Significant decrease in speed
- Increase in fuel consumption
- Clogged vents, speed gauges, through hauls, air-conditioning,
etc.
- Vibration due to barnacles on the hardware and props Unnecessary
expenses for repairs.
Many owners assume the above problems are
due to mechanical causes.
Regular diving services are designed for the boater who uses
his boat once a week or less.
- Warmer temperatures, changes in salinity, water currents,
and other factors will determine the growth on the bottom.
- Regular diving provides the reassurance that the bottom,
hardware, vents, and through hauls are clean and in working
order
